The used oil mainly consists of rapeseed and palm oil. The goal of this initiative is to help reduce resource wastage and also exploit waste products. It is optional for customers to participate in the program, but a fee is paid for collection to make it attractive. Collection works very well in Sweden, despite the large area to cover and AAK intends to introduce the system in the Danish market as well during the second half of 2014.
