This is a lower percentage than in many other businesses, and is explained by the fact that working in the production plants typically attracts more men than women. At managerial level, 22 percent of employees are female. 69 percent of AAK’s employees are permanently employed, while 9 percent are on temporary contracts. The remaining 22 percent comprise trainees, agency staff and at-will employees. The latter is a doctrine of American law that refers to an employment relationship which can be broken by either party with no liability. 4 percent of our employees work part-time.
